Palty Foam hair dye Review

Palty came out with a new line of foam hair dyes, it's vert popular these days so I can see why palty has decided to join in on it. I purchased the darkest colour of this line, ganache tarte. I was hoping that it would make my hair a single colour, covering up the orange that I had, but I guess it doesn't work that way. I have been using palty for a long time now and it's my first time using a foaming dye.

It darkened out my orange brown hair but roots are still noticeable. The hair dye itself smelled like apples to me, not that nasty chemical smell. It foamed rather quickly and almost over flowed from the cup, then it stopped foaming and stayed a certain size. I left it on my head for 25-30 minutes. Results were alright, I would love it if all my hair was the same colour!

Sorry I don't have a before and after shot, I completely forgot!  I don't think I mixed it well enough because my hair still has a orange tint to it :S I think I will probably stick to Palty's original formula since I am more used to it!

Sakura Sushi

My friends and I found this new Japanese restaurant while walking around the Annex (Around Bathurst/Spadina and Bloor).  We were actually looking for Big Sushi, but found this new place instead!  Sakura Sushi has a nice ambiance to it and plus I like trying new restaurants!  The sushi buffet is around $20 (I rounded up), that is about the average price for sushi buffet around dinner time.  Anyways I absolutely love this place! They make sushi with less rice and more filling? They actually use REAL SUSHI RICE <3 Yes, I can tell the difference between certain types of rice... I'm a little weird like that... :p Anyways if you like eating sashimi you should also check them out! I am personally not a fan of sashimi but I don't mind eating it if I have too.  I tried out the butterfish and DAMN it was pretty good, I hated the salmon though actually I never really liked salmon anyways.  Many of their dishes are really good so definitely go check them out sometime!

***I went to Sakura Sushi again and it was completely packed this time! I guess people have started to take notice of this new awesome place!

Pre-exam mini haul

I was supposed to go study for my exam but ended up going shopping! I got the following on sale! I bought the clinique and urban decay from Sephora with a $15 off $50 purchase coupon! I was curious so I went to Rexall to buy the tinted lip balms from maybelline and Revlon, they had a sale on lip products and it was buy 1 get 1 free!

I bought the Revlon lip butters in cremesicle and sweet tart, and the maybelline baby lips in cherry me and pink punch.

Makeup Haul #2 (Black Friday?)

I'm sure everyone knows that it's Black Friday! This is more well known in the states but a few stores have brought Black Friday to Canada!  The deals are pretty good here but much better in the States, I was thinking about going to Buffalo but I had presentations to do.

I walked about the mall, and browsed through H&M but didn't see much so I ran over to Sephora, this was about 9:15am. (I skipped half my class to lineup for Sephora, I know I'm such a bad student >__<) There was approximately a 3 meter line when I arrived... about 10 minutes later the line doubled!  Sephora opened exactly at 9:30am there was a table at the front which had all the special Black Friday deals.  Within the first 5 minutes of opening all the Buxom sets were gone! I waited for the staff to replenish it, I  regret that I didn't grab a second Buxom set.  I also noticed that the Stilla palettes were the second items to go, followed by Kat Von Ds' Adora Perfume.  I grabbed a perfume thinking that my sister would have wanted it, it had a decent light scent.  She actually didn't want it so I put it down and once I turned around it was gone!

I was rushing to class afterwards but then decided to stop by Sears, it is similar to a Macy's in the States.  I ended up grabbing a back of the Lancome micellular cleansing water (Eau Fraiche Douceux).  I love this stuff <33 Makes my face feel super clean, but its a bit expensive for what it is, but it's worth it as long as there is a gift with purchase! (It's the only time when I buy my Lancome or Clinique Products, haha I'm such a cheapo).

Now For the pictures~
Tokidoki Cromatico Palette (Adieu, Diamante, Polpettina and Mozzarella)

Stilla Glitz & Glam Palette came with a lip glaze in raisin

Buxom set - comes with the highly rated mascara and an insider liner in chocolate citrine (a dark brown)

Lancome goodies from Sears :)

EBay Buys #2

Yay another few packages have arrived! I bought 2 really cute "cable winders", they are clouds with faces! They are definitely a hit on my list! I also received my 2 earring racks, I thought they would be much BIGGER because the seller said the racks hold 12 pairs of earrings. Unfortunately they do not, in fact they are very small and made of of some sort of cardboard..., cute but I was expecting something different! It can only barely hold 9 pairs of studs! (it was a fail on my part because I didn't read the details carefully, oh well)

Ebay Buys #1

I frequently shop on eBay, mostly for Korean makeup from legit sellers! I have managed to find many cool things and I will be starting a new segment called "eBay buys". Hope you all enjoy my wacky, awesome and fail buys on eBay! (majority of my eBay purchases have been great just a few were fail!)

I bought mini toilet plungers for my phone. The toilet plungers are so cute! I bought them both for about $1! Most of you are probably thinking that I'm a weirdo, but that's alright because I am! These mini plungers are actually a phone stand and guess what? They actually work bit for how long? I am not sure, I will find that out tonight :p

Also the next item the "love" ring was a fail buy! The wording is so ugly, it seriously does not look like the photo the seller posted!  You can even see that it is irregular shaped :/ I only bought it for $1, but the seller refunded me $5 so I wouldn't leave a negative feedback, bribe much? Not saying I don't like I just found it funny :P

That's all got now, will post more when my packages arrive!

Forever 21 Haul

I've been really liking Forever 21's Jewelry selection recently! I go there at least once a week to see if they have new items (I go to school in the area so during my breaks I walk around the malls and shops)
I just love how it is so inexpensive and the items are just so cute! When I start browsing for jewelry there, usually there's only one cute earring left and hence I'm gonna grab it!

I'm starting to get abscessed with stud earrings, I used to only go for the dangling ones.  Here's my small stash of goodies!

Review: Daiso Blackhead Peeling Mask

I'm doing a super quick review on this blackhead peeling mask from daiso. You can get it from Vancouver/Richmond in BC (from the actual Daiso store, it's about $2), somewhere in Japan and from eBay of course which is around $6.

When I used this product for the first time it burned, not the application part but the peeling part! After a couple uses it no longer burned, but I felt that it did not work as well as my Biore nose strips. Those things take out all the nasty things on my nose and makes it all smooth an feel very clean! (the Biore strips range from $7 to $14 though). The daiso one does a decent job though, just make sure you apply a thick amount of product on your nose of face. I have tried it on my forehead and it worked pretty well did hurt so bad either.

To sum it all up: it's worth a try for $2, it does a pretty good job for those with less blackheads.

CNE Makeup Haul 2011

As soon as I came back from working in Jamaica I returned to work at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) in Toronto. It's a somewhat big fair that comes to Toronto every year for 2 weeks of August. There is a warehouse outlet every years and consists of stores such as Bluenotes, Stiches and Sirens. (There used to be a Fairweather, Costa Blanca and I think a Suzy Shier) There was also 2 makeup/nail accessory warehouses too, and as always I buy a shit load of nail polish but not as much as I used too. They carried Sally Hansen, NYC, Rimmel, Borghese and Elizabeth Arden. Most nail polishes were $1.25 each or $7 for $8 (It used to be $1 each and 8 for $7) and the Borgghese/Elizabeth Arden ones where $2 each. As for makeup they had a good selection of Rimmel, Revlon and a small selection of Maybelline, Covergirl, Lancaster, Lancome and Dior (they had the foundation spray for only $33 O_O but I think they only had the shade 400.

**Pictures are on the way!

Day 16

I skipped a lot of days.. my bad >__>
I was busy, tired and just plain lazy ^^; Well I didn't do anything too exciting but on day 13 I just off the 2nd deck of a boat and into the ocean. It was fun, except I forgot to plug my nose and a bunch of salt water went up my nose =__= The kids were cheering me on, chanting my nick name "Xi Chong". (I forgot to mention that one of the camp counsellors gave me a chinese(?) nick name o__0) I'll definitely be doing that again.

Also I was moved to another resort, Sandals-the couple resort. It's beautiful and really really big compared to this one. There are 3 sections of that resort and you have to shuttle to each section but its only takes like 5 mins or less to get to each section. There's the Manor, Beach & Villa and Riviera. Personally I think Riviera is the nicest because it right beside the beach, I can't say much about the Villa section because I havent been there yet. The Manor section has the main pool which it double maybe even triple the size of the boscobel pool. I would love to take my hunni there to Sandals <3 Mayb in 2 years for our 5 year anniversary.

Well anyways we live in the Manor section but it is not it the main Manor building it's in its own housing area which it surrounded by other ".houses" and trees.. we also have a private pool which it shared between 2 houses. Any ways that area has a shit load of mosquitoes, I was bitten so much over there.

We went out for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant called Kimonos. We were seated with 5 other couples on one large table. The chef cooks all the entrees right in front of the guests, they were supposed to entertain us. The cooking had some oriental flare to it, the kuko chicken was my favourite, he also made "beef bibimbap" but it was just beef... It's not mixed with rice, egg, veggies or anything o.o  We had green tea mousse and lychee tart, the mousse had an icing texture >_>

Sushi Buffet at Aji Sai

I went to a sushi buffet on Queen street called Aji Sai. The prices are decent during the lunch hours, it was $12.99. The sushi is pretty much a hit or a miss, you either love it or hate (dislike) it.

Black dragon roll, green dragon roll and Spicy California

Yam tempera roll, Rainbow California roll, and Dynamite roll

We also ordered Yaki Udon, Miso Soup, and Sushi Pizza. My favourite were the Rainbow California roll, Yaki Udon and the Dynamite roll. I REALLY DID NOT LIKE THEIR SUSHI PIZZA. It was the worst I've ever tasted before... and I was craving that the most too T__T It was dry deep fried rice with sloppy salmon chunks, there clearly wasn't enough sauce on it either =__=

Mini Buffalo Haul

My Mom woke me up around 9:00am today and told me that we were going shopping in Buffalo, NY.
I was like.. what? Now?! (I was dead tired, I usually sleep in till 10-11am)
It takes about 1-2 hours to get from T.O to Buffalo, we got lost in the process of finding a mall. Since I didn't know the actual name of the mall it was difficult to find. (I never went cross the border that's why ^^;)
We went to Boulevard Mall but that wasn't the RIGHT mall and it took a while to get there because the only thing my mom's friend could remember was that the mall had a Macy's. (Aren't Macy's REALLY common over there?) Well like 30-40 minutes later.. I found the actual mall that they wanted to go to.. it was the Walden Galleria Mall =__=

I also went to the Coach in the Canada One Outlets, when coming home. I didn't see much I liked... well there wasn't much of a price difference.  I went to the Victoria's Secret as well because of the 75% off I heard about from other bloggers O_O. We don't have that BIG of a sale here... but most of the stuff was GONE!
(Left - Right: OPI Nail Polish in Samoan sand, Hopelessly in love, Panda-monium pink, VS liquid foundations in Light 10 and Medium 10, VS lipsticks in Grape fruity and Poppy-sicle, Coach wristlet)

**I wasn't sure which foundation to buy so I bought both light 10 and medium 10... The medium is too dark =__= but I guess I could used it to mix into my foundations to match my summer shade. Also the VS lipstick in Grape fruitty smells so yummy :3

A Robins Nest Outside my Window

The little robins decided to make their home outside one of the second floor windows. It started when I was still on vacation in China.. so it was a span of 5-6 weeks I think? Now the baby robins that hatched not too long ago, have flown away and I guess they now have a much bigger nest.

Mama Robin: What are you looking at? (No eggs at the moment)

A week or two later, little blue eggs! (The third egg came later o__0)

They hatched a few day later when I came back from China. They have BIG mouths o.o

Two weeks later .. they are all grown up (kind of)! They don't have the red bellies yet ^^
One of the birdies took longer to learn how to fly, it was sad.. the siblings they it all alone in the nest for 2 days. The Mama and Papa robins would still come back to feed it though. (I watched the baby robin, it kept looking out like it wanted to fly with the rest). It finally flew today and... hasn't come back.

They are all gone now ='( probably in a bigger home.

**Photo credits to Bek - Also.. the pictures are super blurry and stuff because of all the dust near the windows >__> and... all the bird crap the robins left us =__=

Biking at the Toronto Island

I don't go to the Island often but when I do, I usually stick to the centre because it's the closest and the majority of the 'attractions' are there.  I went with 2 friends and we made our way to the ... Faraway Farm? (I'm not sure of that is the right name) located in Centreville, of course it smells a bit but manageable. We saw geese, ducks and... peacocks (o__0) roaming around.

Also... Beware of the red wing black birds, they attack people, so my advice is do not go near trees! There was an innocent guy walking with his GF and the bird swooped from behind and pecked his head O_O. My friend was almost attacked by one when we were playing around and taking pictures... It tried to attack her head(?) 3 times..We ran after that >__>

I've seen these in pictures but I NEVER knew where to find these GIANT CHAIRS. (Hehe now I know ^^)

The quadricycle is $30/hour to rent and 2-person bike (same design but without the extra seat at the back) was $16/hour. We so could've fit in the 2-person bike but it guess it better if we could all peddle ^^ It took a bout an hour to go from the Centre -> Hanlans point -> Centre -> Wards -> Centre. The only restriction was that the the bike cannot go across bridges.

I took this pretty picture while we were going back to the city ^^ I used a Korean camera app and used the vintage setting.

The city of Toronto, its looks nice from this distance =D

Makeup Haul from Hong Kong

It has been a week since I came back from my 3 week "vacation" in China/Hong Kong.
It's my 3rd time going so far, and as always I did a lot of shopping.  I'm not going to show the clothes I bought because they are all scattered around my house and I guess it wouldn't be as interesting.

I didn't buy much in Hong Kong because I really only had 1 day to shop and all the luggages were full to the max, my mom didn't want to pay for extra luggage and besides we wouldn't be able to carry so many anyways.

I bought the above items from Watsons, Sasa and Log-on around Kowloon Bay and... the APM mall. If you are looking for Liese and Gatsby go to Watsons, it's actually cheaper than the other stores (because it goes on sale!). ^^ I also think that Log-on has some good deals as well. Sasa carries more pricier items.

I bought these items at Bonjour and another Sasa at Mong Kok. DO NOT buy at the actual Skin Food store go to Bonjour they have it for half the price and NO it's not expired or old! The only thing is they don't have ALL the Skin Food products that's all.

I haven't had a chance to use these items yet, because I am preparing for a another trip! I'll tell you where I'm off to when I'm done packing ^^
